London: A wheelchair utilized by Stephen Hawking has bought at public sale for nearly £300,000 kilos ($539,000), whereas a duplicate of the scientist’s doctoral thesis fetched virtually £585,000.

The motorized chair, utilized by the physicist after he was paralyzed with motor neuron illness, bought for £296,750 in a Christie’s on-line public sale. It had been anticipated to fetch £10,000 to £15,000.
