Liverpool Council are investigating claims a CCTV officer was caught on his telephone whereas driving.
The officer was videoed by one other driver on Queens Drive on Monday.
Within the video, the officer will be seen holding an object subsequent to his ear earlier than throwing it onto the seat when seen he’s being watched.
The driving force, who’s filming him on his cell, shouts throughout “Oh the CCTV man is on his telephone” and calls him a “f***ing grass.”
The officer ignores him and continues to take a look at the street forward.
Finally the CCTV van pulls away from the opposite automotive and the video ends.
Since being posted on social media the video has been watched, shared and commented on by 1000’s of individuals.
The cell CCTV vans goal to stop, deter and detect crimes, and enhance public security and reassurance.
A spokesperson for the Council mentioned: “Now we have obtained the footage in query and are investigating it.”
